Jenna is an Indigenous student from Kenhta:ke Kanienke:haka, Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory in Ontario. She is currently a Clinical Developmental Neuropsychology doctoral trainee at York University with a focus on lifespan psychology (children, adolescents, adults and their families). She received her Bachelor of Science (BSciH) degree in Biomedicine in 2020 from TMU, and Masters (MA) degree in Clinical Developmental Psychology in 2023 from York University. Her previous clinical experiences included intake and neuropsychological assessment at the York University Psychology Clinic (YUPC) and The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) where she attended both Oncology/Hematology and General Neurology patient rounds.

Dr. Westcott has previously taught at York University and the University of Toronto and she has conducted several training workshops. J’mi Worthen is currently pursuing a PhD in Sport and Performance Psychology at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education. Her research focuses on the dynamics of perfectionism as experienced by racialized athletes, the impact of perfectionistic environments in post-secondary sports settings, the use of Emotion Focused Therapy with competitive athletes, and the implementation of Safe Sports practices. J’mi has earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling from Northwestern University, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. John’s University.

With extensive experience in sports psychology, J’mi has worked with athletes across various levels of competition, including amateur, varsity, and national stages. Sherry (Yuru) Xie is a practicum student completing her Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counselling Psychology at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. She holds a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) in Developmental Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Sherry brings extensive experience supporting individuals through their emotional distress, particularly the immigrant and newcomer populations. With both personal and professional experience in international contexts, she appreciates the complexities of cross-cultural living and identity development. She works with adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, cultural adaptation, and self-growth. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Sherry takes an integrative, culturally attuned, and individualized approach to therapy, drawing on techniques from various modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and narrative therapy.
